This chapter describes the scores that are calculated from administration of the Ortiz Picture Vocabulary Acquisition Test™ (Ortiz PVAT™) and best practices for score interpretation. The Ortiz PVAT provides test results using the following types of statistical data: raw scores, standard scores, confidence intervals, percentile ranks, stanines, age equivalent scores, and the Growth Index. Recommended step-by-step guidelines for the interpretation sequence are provided, along with applied examples for interpreting results.
