Data Collection Procedures |
Data collection for the standardization of the Ortiz Picture Vocabulary Acquisition Test™ (Ortiz PVAT™) took place from November 2015 to June 2016. All participants who provided free and informed consent (parental consent was obtained for all participants under 18 years of age) were given standardized instructions, and were compensated for their involvement in the data collection process. The data were collected digitally; participants completed the Ortiz PVAT on touchscreen-enabled laptops with audio played at a comfortable volume through the laptop speakers. Data collection site administrators supervised each test administration to ensure participant engagement, standardized procedures, and accurate transmission of data.
