The development of the Ortiz Picture Vocabulary Acquisition Test™ (Ortiz PVAT™) encompassed six years of effort (November 2011 to November 2017) and included a number of phases: conceptualization and initial planning, item generation and development, pre-pilot phase, pilot phase, standardization phase, and final test construction.
